The Weekly Finn #1: Teerenpeli 8 yo Single Malt Whisky

Teerenpeli brewery and distillery is one of the few whisky distilleries in Finland. Their 8 year old single malt has reached the international community and is available on Master of Malts for £68.95 (88€), The Whisky Exchange for £69.95 (89€) and the Finnish Alko for 81€ (£63).

The small yet beautiful 50cl bottling of the 43% 8 year old is a unique example of a new distillery single malt whisky. Distilled in 2004, the 8 year old Teerenpeli whisky is a young but considerable participant in the new age of single malt whiskies.

“The Weekly Finn” is a series of posts where we will present one Finnish beverage or organisation every week. The idea for the series was sparked by the new Finnish alcohol advertising legislation, which from 1.1.2015 on prohibits breweries and distilleries from using consumer created material, e.g. reviews and photography, in advertising and social media. We thought a helping hand would be in order, and thus we will bring different beverages and organisations to light in our blog.
